Red Rock
Just 20 minutes from Las Vegas Strip

There’s more to Sin City then bright neon and flashing lights. Just a 20-minute drive from the world famous Las Vegas Strip, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, or Red Rock as the locals call it, offers locals and visitors alike an exciting outdoor adventure in the Mojave Desert.

As you head west on Charleston Avenue, you’ll see how the park received its name as ribbons of red flow across looming cliff faces. When you arrive at Red Rock (a park fee is due at the entrance), stop at the Visitor Center, a 7,600 square foot facility offering information about recreational opportunities, wildlife, wild horses and burros, vegetation, geology, cultural resources and more.

Then, enjoy the 13-mile scenic drive with access to more than 30 miles of hiking trails. Stop along the way for magnificent photo opportunities, including the gorgeous canyon, wild burros and more. From easy to strenuous hikes, Red Rock is perfect for any level of hiking enthusiast. With over 20 trails to choose from, you can enjoy the flora and fauna, native to the Mojave Desert, admire panoramic views, check out natural water tanks, or tinaja, survey gray limestone and red sandstone and dip your toes in the seasonal waterfalls.
Bring your bike for an easy ride along the scenic drive, or hop on a few of the mountain bike trails throughout the park. Red Rock is perfect for rock climbing enthusiasts as well, so test your skills – if you dare!

After a day at Red Rock, you’ll still have the energy to enjoy a night on the town, so head back to the Strip for dinner and a show or try your luck at the tables!
